Welcome and thanks for visiting Project Safe Harbor. Each year 1.7 million youth become homeless in the United States. Up to 42% of those youth identify as LGBTQ. 26% of youth that come out are told to leave their homes by parents or their guardians. Having nowhere else to go these youth end up living on the streets or couch surfing. ripped away from their lives these youth miss out on education and simply being able to be kids.
